LDAP nested groups detected by plugin but not synching the roles

Hi,

I’ve managed to get the LDAP connected however I’m having issues synching the DN of nested groups with specific roles. The plugin is saying the groups are detected but every time I synchronise users or delete and create the connection again the users are instated with normal monitoring user rather than the desired role.

Any tips?

The check box is also selected for the nested group roles or?

Second possible problem is.
Are all the nested groups under your group base DN situated?
If these groups are in another part of your directory that is not covered by the base DN then nothing will happen.

Yes that box is also checked and are under the base group designated

I’ve managed to get it to work. Not sure how as it’s not how I was under the impression of how the directory is set up but if it works it works :laughing: Thanks for your help
