CMK version: 2.1.0 (docker image)
OS version: N/A
Error message:
“Unhandled exception: Malformed output. Livestatus TCP socket might be unreachable or wrongencryption settings are used.”
This error happens when trying to connect one checkmk to another and following the steps at Distributed monitoring - Scaling and distributing Checkmk .
The following config is set on the master:
But we can see the following error:
The port is reachable on the checkmk slave is reachable from the checkmk master.
root@check-mk-587448cbdb-zb4hf:/# telnet internal-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.eu-west-2.elb.amazonaws.com 6557
Trying XX.X.XX.XXX…
Connected to internal-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.eu-west-2.elb.amazonaws.com.
Escape character is ‘^]’.
For now I also selected the “Unencrypted” and “Ignore SSL certificate errors” options.
Both checkmk instances are using the same version as suggested by the documentation, in this case version 2.1.0.
What am I missing? What can I do to help troubleshooting this error?
Any help will be very appreciated.
