where can I set that checkmk allows .local host addresses? I´ve got fqdn with .local at the end, which can be pinged at the checkmk debian system itself.
Checkmk server uses DNS that is configured in OS. I have my local FQDN addresses added in an internal DNS and that works.
.local is a bad idea for an internal top level domain: .local - Wikipedia

Using .lan myself, but good to know about .local and .localhost as TLDs.
