Locally stored reports "delete after" not working?

Hi,

I have created some reports that are stored locally on the checkmk server at the standard path (/opt/omd/sites/sitename/var/check_mk/reports/archive/username/).
In the Report Scheduler I use the option “delete after”. For some I have set it to 12 hours, for others to 2 days. But the reports are not deleted after that time from the local hard drive, they are not deleted at all.
So, is this a bug? Did I missunderstand the purpose of that option? Do I have to change something in the settings?

this is the case in CEE version 2.2.0p31 up to p44 and now also in version 2.3.0p38

This goes out to the checkmk devs:

I guess not many people have need of this option. Well I have. And I think any option that is there should work. If you won’t make it work, please remove this option. If there is anything thats needs to be done in addition when trying to use this an inline help would be nice.

to be clear, I talk about this option:

under “Stored reports“ there are many reports like this. The date under “Available till” is the date when this report should have been deleted.

And yes, they are also on the local hdd at /opt/omd/sites/sitename/var/check_mk/reports/archive/username/
