Locked activate when change site in host property

we have upgraded to cmk 2.3.0p41

we have a master and 3 sites connected, all is central managed

this setup has been in operation for several years

if we change the host property “monitored on site “ for a host and we activate the complete setup hangs, and we briefly see this on the screen

activation is from that moment anymore possible

if we check the background jobs the process reports red and stopped

if we check the PID on the master, we see the process is still running

when we kill that process we can activate again, but I have serieus question about the state now …

Besides : these files are only status files and you don’t know if the activate pushed the files to the sites

also : deleting these files may allow you to activate again, but that process is still pending active

what also helped was doing a sort of shut-no-shut on the site config

I mean, in a site setp disabkle replication, save and re-enable and this also helped

BUT we never know if activation has pushed the data to the site …
