Logging level of cmc.log

CMK version: 2.1.0p25

I was doing a backup of a stage system with just 10 hosts. I was wondering why it is taking so long, so I checked the size of the site. As I found out the cmc.log is 620GB large?! It is full of
2023-03-29 09:43:10 [4] [checker pool] [service "***(host)****;Check_MK"] [helper 527] [log] ['2146', '******(some service)****']]
How can I change the log level of the cmc.log and can I just delete it before starting the site?
FYI the site is running for about half a year.

Interestingly, there are only switches, so SNMP Hosts.

The log level can be changed in the Global Settings.
