Hi,
somehow we see the exact same issue talked about in this thread today on our Switches:
Dear Forum,
I found the following out, by accident.
We have Networking devices, that produce a huge output on Discovery. Checkmk
warns with the message “Lost data due to truncation of long output to 2kB”.
It is - obviously - possible to change this limit by clicking on “increase limit”, e.g.:

When you go into this setting and just “blindly” delete the value
and want to save it, Checkmk - correctly - doesn’t allow you to do so

All these switches did not have this issue in the past. It somehow just appeared today.
Do we just adjust the setting or is it some kind of bug?

You can adjust the setting.
The post I had done, mentioned a bug that occurred during an exceptional situation I had reported in this comment, which was indeed a bug and fixed with
