Maximum number of parsed lines per log file

Hi,
in the global settings there’s a parameter for the maximum number of parsed lines per log file.

The default setting is 1.000.000, which seems to be pretty high, since we had never problems with it until last week.
A customer of us got over that threshold and as a consequence no new graph data were shown in CheckMK.

Wouldn’t it be smart to monitor this out-of-the-box on the checkmk host?

I’ve seen that there is a logrotate option for the history. It’s only available for file size and not for line count and it’s set to 200M, which is the default (I guess). Our own instance history has 532.000 entries and is 90M big, so I think that one million lines will be hit before 200M in size.
So, 150M or even lower would be a safe spot to be in.

TL;DR: maybe the defaults for these options should be slightly different?
EDIT: the factory size setting is 50M, so all good here.

What do you think? Am I missing something here?

Thanks for reading,
Roland.
