Missing CPU/Memory metrics on switch monitoring

Hello everyone !

I’m using checkmk (community raw edition) for monitoring my switch.

I managed to collect data of these attributes : Interface/Fan/POE and Power but I don’t have access to data about resource usage of my switch like Memory or CPU.

How can i collect these data ?

To answer that question you will have to share a bit more information:

  • switch brand ?
  • how are you getting/collecting the current data ?

Thanks for your reply.

Here are the details about my setup:

  • Switch Brand: HPE FlexNetwork 5520 HI, running Comware v7.

  • Configuration: IRF Stack (multiple physical switches bundled into a single logical cluster sharing a single management IP).

  • Data Collection Method: Standard SNMP v2c polling.

I tried to manually add the private HPE/H3C MIB files like HH3C-CPU-MIB and HH3C-MEMORY-MIB into ~/local/share/check_mk/mibs/ and restarted the site, but the default service discovery still doesn’t pick up the CPU and Memory services.

The base OID branch for these devices is 1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.
