Hello,
I’m new in checkmk and have some windows server and some ubuntu servers.
Some of them have a RAID System … I want to monitor the single HDD´s from the Raid
Is this possible?
Thank you!

This depends on what the RAID controller gives out as information.
There are some RAID controller agent plugins available, but IMHO the best option is to use the out-of-band management port of the hardware.
Hello,
sorry, what did you mean with “out-of-band management port of the hardware”?
Dell has iDRAC, HP has iLO, SuperMicro also offers an SNMP agent on a separate port. They all should be able to report on the hardware states, disks and drives.
Oh ok … well, the “Super Doctor 5” don´t display a Raid … I guess it need the original Intel Software?
And there are 3 SuperMicro Plugins:
But they are not added to my SuperMicro Host … can I set this manual?
Thank you!
Here there are the standard plugins:
~/share/check_mk/checks$ ls -l|grep -i super
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 8044 Jan 14 20:53 supermicro
-rw-r–r-- 1 root root 1120 Jan 14 20:53 superstack3_sensors
You can have a look at those plugins to see which SNMP OID’s they query.
OK, the SNMP of SuperMicro are not running in Linux.
I installed the same on a Windows maschine and there its working. So its a SNMP Problem on the Ubuntu Server 20.04 … but did not check how I can use the Supermicro MIB Files there
