Monitoring autoscaling Windows RDS environment

Hi all,

This is my first post so hopefully i’m posting to the correct discussion…
We just created a auto-scaling RDS environment running Server 2019 in Azure

The connection broker automatically checks amount of sessions per CPU and upscales when the threshold has been reached. It will just boot the next VM in line which is already added to the connection broker. After peak hours the VMs without any sessions will be shutdown automatically.

Since we need to monitor all VMs with Check MK. Is there some kind of smart way to reach this?
I think it’s a bit difficult with all the host going down and up again.

Hope to hear from you.

Cheers.

Sounds like a use case for Checkmk’s Dynamic host configuration feature.
1.6 Enterprise only. Haven’t used it myself yet.
