Hi,
If we use Check_MK (Enterprise Edition) to monitor Azure, will adding/removing of VMs into/from Check_MK monitoring within the resource group happens automatically? Or, we need to add/delete the VMs in check_mk. Please advise!

Hi Sedhu,
the commercial checkmk editions include a feature called Dynamic Host Configuration (a.k.a. DCD a.k.a. Dynamic Configuration Daemon) that does just that.

If you are looking at monitoring Azure, also take a look at this article, to see which one of the Checkmk Editions covers all the services you are planning to monitor. Rule of thumb: Anything that is lift-and-shift (e.g. Azure VM) will be available in all Checkmk editions. Things that are more 'cloud-native, such as serverless functions, will only be available in the Checkmk Cloud Edition.
