Monitoring Core performance / resource utilization

I searched and didn’t find specifics so I’ll ask here.

Is there information about the monitoring core’s resource utilization on a host? I saw the stats about how fast it is, but nothing about its CPU and RAM use in particular.

Thanks.

The answer here is as most times - it depends.
The first point is the core type → Nagios vs. CMC. With booth you have very different resource consumption.
CMC is relatively static as it uses a worker process model and don’t need to fork many new processes of itself like the Nagios core.
If you use the Nagios core you can configure to monitor all Nagios processes together with their resource usage. In bigger systems with Raw edition i have arounde 50-100 Nagios processes running at the same time.

I am using the CMC with the Enterprise edition.

Which process(es) should I monitor to measure resource utilization?
