Monitoring open shift in checkmk raw edition

Hello team,

Iam looking to monitor openshift cluster in a raw edition checkmk, I see there is some feasible solutions through checkmk docs Monitoring OpenShift
But here it explicitly says Monitoring OpenShift clusters is only possible with one of the Checkmk commercial editions, is it possible to monitor the openshift cluster in raw edition, let me know if there is anything that I can go through.

Hello @Aru,

the Checkmk RAW Edition is the Open Source version of Checkmk and not one of the commercial editions (Checkmk Enterprise, Checkmk MSP, Checkmk Cloud) thus you are not able to monitor OpenShift with the RAW edition of Checkmk.

Docs:

Monitoring OpenShift clusters is only possible with one of the Checkmk commercial editions.

There is no explicit OpenShift support in the Checkmk Raw Edition. However, OpenShift is (more or less) an ordinary Kubernetes cluster, so the usual options to monitor Kubernetes clusters should be applicable, including

• The Checkmk Kubernetes datasource
• The k8s local check as an alternative approach to Kubernetes monitoring
