Monitoring Veeam version 13 jobs using Checkmk

The plugin is workin great - thank you!

-Is there a way to get the information about the backup speed into the jobs?

-And performance data for the “Veeam Jobs xy” Backup Jobs (Same here duration, speed…)

And another question? Is there a way to grant only read permissions for the the user? For testing purposes I used the Role “Veeam Backup Administrator”. I tried “Backup Viewer” and “Incident API Operator” but both with no access.

And the “Add roles” is joke

Hi, we’re not on 2.4 yet but I’m looking forward to it.

The Plugin looks great from the Pictures and a proper Integration for the Veeam B&R Suite is highly desirable.

We once had a little Plugin which showed the Retention time of the Veeam Backup-Jobs, adding this to the Plugins would be very nice.

Kind regards

Hi,

I confirm our Development team is working on the fix for the Veeam plug-in so that it will use PowerShell 7 from Veeam v13 onward.

Best regards,
Andrea

Hi all,

Overlord kindly helped me a lot with the development of the plugin by testing it, and I am slowly reaching a stage where the plugin is running stably.
If anyone would like to try out and test the plugin, I would be very happy. Please keep in mind that it is still in beta and has only been tested in two environments.
For feature requests or questions ping me here in private messages to not further messup this post.

The fix does’t work for us. 2.4.0p21

Hi Josef,

I’m sorry to see that the fix does not work for you.
Could you please open a Support ticket so that we can investigate it further?
Thanks,
Andrea

Me too.

Any expected date?

We tried to start the powershell-script and there’s an error (not the buffer too small error at the beginning of the script) but I did’t take a screenshot.

The API-MKP works very nice. Maybe I find the time to open a support ticket but for that I first need to change the config back to the CMK script and collect the error data.

Hello Josef,

The problem we encountered was caused by ESET Server Security. Perhaps it’s something similar.

Hi There, It’s quite weird but when I placed the Veam status ps1 file from ProgramFiles x86 folder to the ProgramData plugin folder it worked fine…
