Moving from old OMD based installation to CEE edition

Hello,

I have an old Check_MK installation that was used under OMD. However at this time I’d like to migrate it outside of OMD and update it to the latest CEE edition (1.6.0p9).

The main reason for this change is it appears Check_MK has been removed from the 3.x versions of OMD however we’d still like to keep using it.

Hallo,
you can find some migration notes in the forum.
Use the search option.
In short

  • backup
  • update step by step latest version omd ,1.4, 1.5, .16
  • testing everything after every step

The site & host is running 2.80-labs-edition with check_mk being 1.2.8p20.

Hello,
you have to update from 1.2.8p20 to 1.4, then to 1.5 and then to 1.6 like @rprengel has pointet out.
