I wanted to point you towards a significant new feature for extension developers:
Previously, there was the option:
- You either let the special agent never fail and create a dedicated “Info” service which reports on errors of the special agent;
- or you let the special agent fail completely, if for example a single section fails, then you get an error message in the Check_MK service, but all non-impacted services will go stale, because they don’t get data as well.
With that change, you can let the special agent fail more graciously.
