Since a few months ago i’m having this issue with one of my sites, that it’s not properly synchronizing and activating the configuration. The site itself, including syncing configs, was working fine for a couple months Prior to this and i have no idea what caused this. There was no CMK Server upgrade or anything of the like. We run a distributed Monitoring with 1 master pushing to all the slaves.
When the Problem started i could not synchronize with this 1 site at all anymore. During the Synchronisation process it would Crash the site on the slave. Creating a new site did not help.
I’ve installed a completely fresh cmk raw instance and recreated the site and pushed the config from the master.
The log in to the Server in distributed Monitoring was working without Problems again but it took a bit for the config to be synchronized and activated upon this loging.
When i try to push Configurations now they actually get synchronized and activated on the slave but on the master, on “activate pending changes” , it’ll always be stuck Showing either synchronizing or activating. The changes are still shown as pending if i refresh the page, despite the site claiming the synchronization having been a success. The changes are also active on the slave and the main config, even if i then discard the changes.
To me it seems that the thread is unable to remove the “pending changes” once he’s uploaded them but i do not know what is causing this. I’ve invested quite a bit of time Troubleshooting this already but am at my wits end regarding this, seeing as all other sites have no Trouble at all being synchronized and the “pending changes” being “removed automatically” afterwards.
I’ve even created a new host Folder and site for the new Server and the same Thing is Happening.
Any advice / help is much appeciated.
