Piggyback across CMK instances

Hi guys. This is for CEE 2.1.0p25.
Suppose i have 4 CMK instances with tons of vms. I dont want to monitor the same ESXi hosts on each instance, in order to have piggyback information for every VM.

Can i do distributed monitoring for specific things, in order to have piggyback of everything, taking it from 1 instance (where i have my ESXi hosts).

Thanks!

No,
Checkmk does not support that. What do you mean by “instances”? 4 sites in distributed monitoring? There is a feature request to have piggyback data synced across all sites to you will get that idependently on what slave site your VM is behind mentored on and same for ESX

CMK server “A” with 100 ESX hosts and 200 VMs.
CMK server “B” with 300 VMs. I add “distributed monitoring connection” → to “A”.

Can i see piggyback VM information from ESX hosts in “A”?
Or this is not supported?

No, you will not see the piggyback data. You can copy those with rsync / scripts between sites.
You can vote for that feature here.

Rsync. OK.

Thank you all!
