thanks for your reply. But I don’t get it.
Let’s start with ping. I want to generate ping graphs for each host, pinging the hostname via IPv4 and IPv6. My configured hostnames in checkmk are always real FQDNs with an A and an AAAA record.

Using no parameters at all:
simply pings the IPv4 address (while IPv6 should always be preferred, shouldn’t it? The folder for this host is “IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack”.)
