Please confirm my method of disabling non-rule based notifications

Hello all, long-time check_mk user here, first time poster. Love the software and it’s integration with NagVis.

My goal is to disable all email notifications except for one’s specified in my ruleset. Default time period is the only one set up (24/7).

I have 8 specific email rules that will email me if specific services go to warning/critical and back to OK and created an 9th rule that does the following:

Am I correct in saying custom rules are evaluated first, in order, before obeying 24/7 notification rules? What I have set up seems to be working OK, but is there a better way to accomplish what I’m trying to do? I couldn’t find any explicit “ignore” option so I selected what made the most sense to me.
