PostgreSQL Monitoring?

Hello all

We’ve a problem with the monitoring of postgreSQL.
We using a local OS user by using trust without the pgpass file.
So we don’t have any pgpass file.

In the postgresql.cfg we don’t know how to set the right lines for the 3 instances with the different ports.
Please let us know how we’ve to set the right line in the postgresql.cfg file.
Plese send some example lines from your CFG file.

Thanks

Hello

has somebody an info for us ?

Please let us know.

Thanks
Jan-Philipp

Hi Jan-Philipp,
the design of the mk_postgres is …
It seems that the code of the plugin does not allow multiple cluster on 1 host.
The developer at Tribe29 are working on a new version based on Python. Hopefully the support for multiple clusters could be added there. The old mk_postgres will be replaced by the new one in the future and is ecisting as a fallback for older Linux distiributions, because the new one has some dependencies to the installed version of Python.

Which distribution is used on your side?

Kind Regards
Thorsten

Hello Thorsten,

thanks for this info, I will contact tribe29 for it.
We using RedHat RHEL 8 with Checkmk version 1.6.0p14.

Best regards

Jan-Philipp
