Problem to set notification

Hi, I have a problem/question about notification management. In the notifications section, when I create one and, for example, set that all alerts should go to contact X, upon saving (no commit needed), when I check in one of the services, I don’t see anything among the notification recipients. To make the alert recipient appear in the service, do I have to create a contact group, assign the recipient to it, and then go to ‘assign service to contact group’? In this case, I see the person among the alert recipients. Is this normal?

Yes, basically thats the nagios logic that a contact has to be in the contactgroup assigend to a host or service for which he receives the notification.
