Problem with parents in distributed monitoring setup

CMK version:
2.1.0p28, will update to 2.2 soon

OS version:
Ubuntu 22

Error:
We started with a single instance and are now adding a second instance. Setting up the new host in distributed monitoring worked fine. We are pushing the configuration. I have now moved one of the exisiting monitored hosts to the new site. When activating the change I got this message on the new site:
check_mk: The parent ‘FIREWALL-NAME’ of the host ‘HOSTNAME’ is not defined on this site.
This firewall is our main firewall and either directly or indirectly a parent to all monitored hosts. Do i have to create duplicates of parent hosts on the new site to get rid of this error or is there a different way?

Parent relationships do not work across sites. This is a feature restricted to a single monitoring core.

See Enable Child/Parent relations between hosts monitored on different sites - Checkmk - but don’t be too optimistic unless can you also provide a convincing use case^^
