Process Monitoring on Windows

CMK version:
2.1.0p23
OS version:
Windows Server 2019 Essentials

Hello!

Currently trying to establish a process in order to monitor a host’s specific process, Data Collection.exe. When looking at the process discovery in the host setup, I am not able to get it to populate as a monitored service!

I am a newer user. Will include pictures of the process settings I’m using to discover! Any tips, what am I doing wrong?

On the monitor, I’d do a cmk -d your-checkmk-target-host and look under section ps:sep for the name.

(assuming your program is started on the host)

Usually what you want to list in the Exact name… field is a short name.

Hello @bpotter,

could you try to put in the field “Process Name” your description for the check (e.g. Important Process ;-)) and in the field executable “Data Collection.exe”

Greetings
Simon

@Humaer Your suggestion seemed to work! Big Thanks!

I assumed i needed the path to the executable file!
