Question about "free enterprise" going forward

Good day,

With the recent changes from Enterprise to Pro and from Cloud to Ultimate, and the release of 2.5 with its licensing requirements, are there any anticipated changes to the “free enterprise” available with the 2.4 and lower Cloud edition after the 30-day trial?

I run the free-enterprise/free-pro at home and am hoping I won’t have to drop down to Raw to keep free CheckMK for a small personal deployment. I am currently on 2.5.0b4 ultimate “free” and am hesitant to upgrade to p1 until I know if I’ll lose my site.

There is no “free enterprise” with 2.4 existing. Do you mean the cloud edition with 750 services? This stays the same now with the ultimate edition.

Thank you. Yes, that is what I meant. It is confusing because although the site edition is “cloud/ultimate” the docs says it’s actually a single site “enterprise/pro” with the cloud/ult features disabled.

Where exactly do you see this information? I cannot find this inside the docs only this here.

Now with 2.5 this should also work with an “normal” pro edition installation. Before it was only the cloud edition.

Confirmed. Both Checkmk Pro and Checkmk Ultimate have a ‘free’ mode after the trial now. Single-site, up to 750 services. Previously, only Checkmk Ultimate had that.
