Question about upgrade to 1.7.0

Currently running the virtual appliance at 1.6.8, using CheckMK 2.2.0P23 CME.
Is there an upgrade path required to go to 1.7.0?

Does the site version of 2.2.0P23 have to be installed again using the download for 1.7.0? Or is the existing one compatible with 1.7.0?

As per the werk Platform update to Debian bookworm , the Checkmk versions have to be re-installed.

The update from firmware 1.6 to 1.7 is a major platform update. In this step we move the underlying OS from Debian buster, which reached it's end of regular support EOL in 2023-09 and will reach it's LTS EOL in 2024-06, to Debian bookworm.
