[Release] Checkmk beta release 2.5.0b1

Dear friends of Checkmk,

Checkmk 2.5.0 beta has started with the release of 2.5.0b1!

After extensive internal alpha testing, we’re excited to move forward with the public beta.

Here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

New in 2.5

Highlights of this release include significant improvements to monitoring for Proxmox, Hyper-V, Podman, and Azure.
You can now monitor virtually anything, thanks to the new Checkmk metric backend combined with powerful OpenTelemetry and Prometheus integrations.
The user interface has also undergone substantial changes, introducing numerous quality-of-life improvements that are almost impossible to overlook! And there is much more to discover!

A detailed list of changes can be found via the 1000+ werks in 2.5.0.
Further content will come in the following weeks and at the Checkmk conference in June.
Release notes, which provide an in-depth overview will be published with the stable release of Checkmk 2.5.0.

The upgrade documentation should have a section about the license key in the paid editions which is now mandatory.

Unfortunately, it is hardcoded, if I am not mistaken. But I am trying to think of it as a nice reason to add something nice to the message like “I hope you are having a great monitoring day today”
