[Release] Checkmk stable release 2.4.0p8

Dear friends of Checkmk,

the new stable release 2.4.0p8 of Checkmk is ready for download.

This stable release ships with 13 changes affecting all editions of Checkmk,
4 changes for the Enterprise editions, 4 Cloud Edition specific and
1 Managed Services Edition specific changes.

Hi,

we have updated to 2.4.0 today and we used 2.4.0p8. Here is the only I read about changes about “cached plugins” because we got a problem with Oracle and only the cached data. The file don’t get written and there is only a “.new” and “.fail” and something about 1200s timeout which I don’t know where it comes from. But if we put the “check_mk_agent” and “cmk-agent-ctl” both of 2.3.0p30 manually there it works again and the files in MK_VARDIR/cache are written correctly. So it must be something about those files which changed in 2.4 or explicitely in 2.4.0p8.

Thanks for reporting this. We are aware of this problem and a fix is already tested and available.The official werk is not there yet.

Hi. Also the Piggyback-Hub had a crash and was stopped. So now many services vanished.
We have sent you the crash report.
