Removing a BI aggregation service

I’ve used rule “BI Aggregations” to transform a BI aggregation into a service. The documentation on that rule is … vague, so I ended up attaching the created service to more hosts than I wanted.

After correcting the rule, even after removing it completely, I am unable to get rid of the created services. I can actively remove them, but I’d rather have a service discovery report them as vanished. In addition, I removed the “API integration” in the host configuration, yet the hosts now complain about missing piggyback data and a missing data source.

What is the correct course of action to tidy up this mess?

A tabula rasa discovery got rid of the spurious services. But there are still complaints in service “Check_MK” about outdated piggyback data. Although this does not cause a warning in the service (yet?), I’d like to see them also gone.
