Report Schedule broken

Hello,

since the new update to 2.4.0.p2 on Ubuntu 24.04, the Report Scheduling does not work anymore.
It’s a report, that sends via email and the pdf is attached, now I get this in the pdf:


I tried to recreate the report with a new one, with a new schedule, but everytime I get:
“The requested report does not exist.”

The strange thing is on both, when I execute them manually, it works completely fine.

I assume, there is no crash report besides the supplied screenshot, right?

no there wasn’t a crash report for that issue, now I rolled back to 2.3.0p33.

can you please check, whether those report schedules are configured to not run as background jobs?

If that’s the case , this might be related to Werk #18074: Render all scheduled reports without error.

You could try to run as background job:

The fix would then be available with the next patch release shortly.

Currently I’m at Version 2.3.0p33 and the report does not run as background jobs.

same here @HartmutLeister . Report scheduler is not running as background job (checkbox is unchecked). I’m using latest 2.4 (2.4.0p5)

@SAGAlvin for 2.4 you’re my only tester now :wink:
If you set run as background job to checked, would that yield you with working scheduled reports again?

Problem seems to be fixed at least with Patch 7 (2.4.0p7).
I didn’t have patch 6 installed, only patch 5 (it didn’t work then). But now with Patch 7 the scheduled report is working again.

Hello , I also have issue sneding email even manually with version 2.4.0p12

As the Beta for 2.4 is long over, please consider starting a new topic in the Troubleshooting category. If you feel like it could be related to this issue, you can always link it there :slight_smile:
