Upgrading CheckMK 2.4.0 from p11 to p15 to cover to vulnerability reported in CVE-2025-39663, the agent provided in CheckMK stays the same, showing the p11 version.
Is this setup using the automatic agent updater?
Not yet - agent updates are currently disabled on master switch.
Then you will have to manually update the agents on the hosts.
That was my intention, but after upgrade the downloadable agent available under Setup/Agents is identical with the one before upgrade - identical filename and size.
By the way : do i have to deregister the host before deinstalling old agent and register it again after installing the new agent?
After your update, you have to bake or bake and sign your agents again with the new version - the buttons should be highlighted.
This should create new downloadable packages with the new agent version.
The hosts don’t need to be re-registered for automatic updates, even if you manually update the agent. If you turn on the master switch again and enable automatic updates, they should pull the new version and install it.
