The other day I was created parameters for active check period. After finding out that there was still the notification, we found out that process was passive check. That works
This may give you better explanation what is the difference between the two:
Other than that, your Check_MK service check is Active check and the rest of the service checks are Passive.
Also, any check that is configured via the ruleset [Active checks (HTTP, TCP,) etc.] under WATO >> Host and service parameters is also an active check.
Hmm this will help me. So a list of this is not present oke.
So I will have to teach my users . I must agree that is was quit confusing when both option are show under parameters
Take a look at the service list of some host. The “Reschedule” icon (two rounded arrows forming a circle) has a different color for active and for passive checks.:
Also the mouse-over popup message gives you a hint.
The “Reschedule” icon might be hidden inside the action menu icon (three horizontal lines). Icon display and order can be customized in Global settings → Builtin icon visibility.
