Self-signed presented by server during agent registration

Hi everyone,
during the registration process to communicate monitoring data over TLS (different from the registration for automatic agent update), that happens from agent to server on port 8000, the Checkmk doesn’t present the certificate that is managed by the user (the one configured in httpd), but rather a self-signed one, over which apparently the user doesn’t have control.

The documentation only states that the certificate is self-signed, are there plans to make it manageable by the user, or is there a rationale behind the choice of keeping it unmanageable?

Thank you for your time
