I’m working with the raw edition of check_mk at the moment. I have a server configured, and it has the plugin installed for db2. The monitoring is working great. What I want to do is send the db2 service notifications to one team and have the rest of the notifications go to another team. I thought this might be where service groups come into play, but I can’t seem to get that to work. So how do I accomplish this?
Feel free to forward any documentation on this subject I may have overlooked.
I do not think this is a good idea. You do not want to create too many notification rules just to handle different services. The issue is better solved with contact groups, IMHO.
Thanks for the suggestions. After reviewing the link and some trial and error, I’ve been able to get this working with the service groups. I’ve found it helps if the rules I create aren’t disabled.

It s an easy way to organize your db-systems in for example production, staging and testing with different teams as contacts.
