I’ve been using Checkmk for a while now to monitor various aspects of my system, but I’m particularly concerned about keeping an eye on the temperature of my Intel Core i7 laptop. I want to ensure that I’m not pushing it too hard and risking overheating issues.

Has anyone successfully set up temperature monitoring specifically for an Intel Core i7 laptop using Checkmk? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any guidance you might have on configuring temperature monitoring within Checkmk.

I’m using 2.1.0p33.cee and monitor my local Intel I7 laptop and did not install anything special. It just worked out of the box and shows me eight temperature services:

I don’t know which is which, though. I assume Temperature Zone 1 is the ambient temperature (20C), but I’m not sure.
