Setting up the reception of SNMP-Traps

Hello
We have different sites that belongs to different Departments running on the same machine. We want to set up the reception of SNMP-traps in some of them to generate specific alarms. The problem is that traps cannot be received simultaneously, only one instance per computer. If one site receives the traps, the other stops. Anyone has been able to receive traps from several sites on the same machine?

It would be possible to only let one EC receive all traps and then query this EC from all other sites on this machine if an event for the querying host is available.
What is important then is the IP of the hosts as the one site don’t know all the names of the configured hosts.

Where you configure the event console check (Check event state in Event Console - rule) you can specify with “Access to the Event Console” also the other EC who has the trap receiver running.

A listening port (in this case 162/udp) can only be opened by one process per IP address.

To make the configuration simpler, checkmk decided to have the event console listen on all IP addresses of the system if activated.

This is why only one instance can have the UDP-Port for SNMP traps open.

Thanks for the answers. I have been able to receive traps and generate events (rule) in a Site and send these events to another Site all on the same machine. The problem is that I am only interested in receiving the events and at this moment I receive everything (hosts, services, events). The idea was to receive traps in a master site and send only the events generated by those traps to the different sites corresponding to the different departments. Maybe there is some other way to do it better …
