Short/Mid-Term contract to perform CheckMk upgrade

Looking for someone to perform a migration and upgrade of CheckMk due to limited staff availability.

Here are the details:

  • Current version: 1.6.0p27, * Target version: Latest stable 2.x

  • Current OS: RHEL 7.9, Target version: RHEL9 (8 if 9 not supported). We will have the servers ready to go with the latest supported RHEL version.

  • 2 physical servers (one in each datacenter)

  • 1 VM in Azure to monitor external services

  • 4 CMK sites: one for each site, one “master” site for all other sites

  • 583 hosts (RHEL, Windows, network gear, and appliances)

  • 24,845 services

  • We make use of BI Aggregations

  • 80+GB of pnp4nagios data to be migrated (split across two servers)

  • Oracle plugin

  • MSSQL plugin

  • AD replication plugin

  • Unique items
    ** We use the legacy HolyGhost plugin along with CasperJS and PhantomJS to perform checks that simulate a web application user. The checks are all pretty basic - login, one or two clicks, look for something on the page. We’re ok migrating these as-is if they’ll even work,but would prefer to replace with RobotMK. We have about 20-30 unique cheks like this. But once one is figured out, the rest should be easy.
    ** We have some other custom plugins that are pretty basic shell or python scripts.

There you will find some contact information to get in contact with a partner. Normally for a project like this you want to get multiple quotes until you find the right partner for the job.

Otherwise everyone with the right experience can do the job. You don’t have to get a Checkmk Partner for it. :sweat_smile:
