I´m really stuck on using sms-notifications.
Can anyone give me some advice?
1 ) I need to hire an external SMS Service?.
2 ) Is there any prebuilt script to start with and modify it as needed?

Hi,
this depends on your setup: If a modem is connected to your CMK server, then you have to install the sms tools for linux. After that you can use the SMS option in your notification rules.
Have a look into the folder share/doc/check_mk/treasures/notifications. There are some useful scripts:
- braintower and multitech: SMS gateways
- mobilant: external SMS provider

I haven’t tested them and can’t really help you with them but I want to give a shoutout to Heinlein Support Checkmk Repo.

Hello,
we have external service providers for sending SMS. To these we send an alarm mail and this is then converted into SMS. For example, we use https://www.retarus.com/de/services/sms/.
