SNMP check: Cisco MDS no FC interfaces

Hello,

I added our Cisco MDS switches (9132T) to our monitoring and it returns many services (PSU, fan, ethernet, …) but the FC interfaces are missing. Is there a way to get them?

I’ve found some posts concerning other switches which say that it would be necessary to edit the check script. Is that true? If yes, is there any howto available?

I’m not sure, if the interface discovery of a switch, includes all port types in its default setting. When
I look at the “Network interface and switch port discovery” rule, I see that e.g. “fibreChannel” is not
in there:

So perhaps if you create a rule, and explicitly add this type and re-run your discovery, your FC interfaces will appear… just a guess…

many many thanks! I didn’t remember this rule. Now I see all interfaces on my switches.
