SNMP check interfaces by using ifName

Hello,

We used the checkType if_lancom in previous checkmk version (1.6) to use the ifName instead of the ifDescr for the interface name.

We have migrated to version 2.0.0p1 Raw Edition and this check is no more available.
We have seen the week #12050 which indicate that it was replaced by “interfaces” check in the rule “Network interfaces and switch ports”.

It doesn’t work if I select “interfaces”, I tried to disable if64 check for my test host with “disabled check” rules, as well.

How can we use this “interfaces” check?

Best regards,
Sean

At the moment has the “interfaces” check some problems.
They work already to solve the problems.

At the moment you can only use the if64 check for your snmp network devices. Lancom is a little bit special the old check used a own enterprise OID for the interface names.
