A management board is an embedded piece of hardware build in a server. It is reachable under a separate IP address and usually connected to a dedicated management network. Exampes for management boards are ILO (Hewlett Packard), RSA (IBM/Lenovo) or CIMC (Cisco).
Checkmk can monitor management boards with SNMP or IPMI. You need the IP address (or a resolvable DNS name) to monitor it.
If you donβt know the parameters for the management board, your device most probable has none or it is not configured. Simply leave the management board section empty, you can add it later if needed.
