SNMP Monitor - SDWAN enabled

Hello,

Is there a way to monitor network equipments, FortiGate firewalls, which have SDWAN enabled ?
There is only a single IP address which can be defined on the host for SNMP query and if that link/interfaces goes down there is no way to use the 2nd one as a failover/fallback or am I missing something?

Any insights/recommandations regarding this?

you could create a cluster and add two hosts, one for “local” and one for SDWAN.
Of course Checkmk needs to be able to reach the SDWAN IP

That would be an idea, but this it would also double the number of monitored services.
I thought of creating a local DNS entry in /etc/hosts for both IPs but this would not scale since it doesn’t do round robin or has a check mechanism to see if the first entry is available or not.
