**Error message: no unmonitored services found, no vanished services found, no new host labels, [snmp] Cannot fetch system description OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0. Please check your SNMP configuration. Possible reason might be: Wrong credentials, wrong SNMP version, Firewall rules, etc
I`ve tried to do this list but still wont work
-Snmp version
-firewall rules
-snmp community credentials
-snmp is configured on device
-enable snmp on the mgmt interface
-add CheckMK IP to trusted host on the mgmt port
-snmp queries and traps are enabled
can you print a cmk -D <hostname> (without passwords please )
If you are using the enterprise Edition try to set the SNMP Backend to classic.
Setup - Agents - SNMP rules - Hosts using a specific SNMP Backend (Enterprise Edition only).
During first tests you can use the simpler snmp v2 with a community and if that works, switch to snmpv3.
This is generally not a good error message. It means in most cases check mk is not allowed to talk SNMP with the device. It can be “connection refused” type of error.
Are you SURE your firewall is responding to SNMP (v1/v2/v3) and you have a community and you have an access list, and networking connectivity.
