SNMP Timeouts while manual tests are fine

CMK version:2.2.0p9.cee
OS version:appliance

Some of my hosts keep coming into SNMP timeout alarm. The connection test and manual snmp walk work fine. (Done in 73 seconds) I have increased the timeout values for Service check timeout (Microcore) to 5 minutes and Timing settings for SNMP access to 60 seconds which was the maximum I could put it too.

Yet these alarms keep having the same timeout values of 3 tries within 180 seconds.
Which setting do I need to adjust to try higher values? Or what else could be causing this problem as the manual tests and snmp walks seem to work fine.
Is there a way to increase the SNMP timing to higher than 60 seconds? (3*60=180 so it could be this?)

Hi @Checkermaker,

have you tried running the “cmk -vv ” command as described in Monitoring with SNMP: Troubleshooting in God Mode | Checkmk :)?

Maybe also use the “ts” utility from the moreutils, i.e. “cmk -vv | ts” then you get exact time stamps telling you which snmp queries are triggered and replied to at what time.
