Solaris OS monitoring for RAM/Memory

Hi — we’ve added some Solaris servers to monitoring system and for some reason, RAM/Memory usage is not being reported by the agent. I tried to telnet the server on port 6556 and grep’ing "Memory|RAM, got nothing related to that.

Is there a specific configuration that needs to be done for monitoring RAM usage on Solaris systems? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hallo,
I can t help but you should add the solaris version that is in use.

Hi Ralf — thanks for the reply. Can you please elaborate a little? These are Solaris 10 systems that we have with agent version 1.4.X and check_mk server version 1.6.X. Do you think that might be the issue here?

We can try updating the agent to match the server version (but honestly this configuration has worked for us with all Linux servers).

Thanks
