Some of my hosts have some services in pending or everything in pending.
I tried to delete host and redo, i tried to remove all and find new… it seemed to work. On host, i saw the traffic like snmp packets but no way to have services in ok or warning/critics just pending.
CMK version:
OMD - Open Monitoring Distribution Version 2.1.0p11.cre
OS version:
“Rocky Linux 8.7 (Green Obsidian)”
Error message:
hosts services are in pending state either if i try to remove all and find new. It found all services, i accept them but the host services is always in pending state.
Output of “cmk --debug -vvn hostname”: (If it is a problem with checks or plugins)
one check was missing for use only ipv4. I checked it.
On service configuration, it founds new services and vanished services. I deal with all. I activate changing on my site.
But the host is always in pending mode for all services… It should be an option that is on or off but can’t figure it out.
I found this rule that is effective and i’m sure it’s the problem :
The screenshot from the rule looks ok. As this rule says if the host is not set to “Do not monitor this host” then you monitor this host.
This setting only affects the host monitoring (Ping). That’s why i asked if the host check is working.
Your other screenshots only show the service monitoring. What do you see on the host status page?
I tried again to delete it, check community. It found services but the host is always in pending mode for all services. Maybe i put it on scheduled maintenance to test or other things (one time, i have problems with complaints about active checks and i tweaked a lot of things to no more have this complaint. It was appeared because i try to reschedule an active check, i thought. Because before, i was on the paid version of checkmk (free for 20 hosts))
I have take a step further…
with the command cmk --check NAMEOFMYHOST
i succeed to have less pending services. Only the checkmk service is left in pending.
If i see this information i would say again → Active checks are disabled on this machine.
Can you please show the “Overview” snapin of your system
→
This one is without stale services, your overview should show another column.
Just before i had less “stale” errors. Seems that i need to check how to manage some “false” positive
For now, i don’t have more pendings errors. I try to redo everything and it’s working.
Need to tweak now so my boss don’t see too many errors
