Some RRD Files missing

Hi,
I recently added a new customer satellite to our main box.
Version: Checkmk Managed Services Edition 2.1.0p15

4 of the 6 servers work fine, all of their graphs are there.
The 2 remaining however don’t write RRD-Files for most of their services.

Some are there:

but the rest is missing (Memory, Interfaces, Store Pool, Filesystem, CPU, …).
Only the XML-Files for all services are in place.

The permissions in the perfdata folders are correct - the OMD user is able to read and write there.

Restart of the rrdcached didn’t change anything.
I have no RRD database configuration rules at all (actually before analyzing this problem I didn’t know that they exist).

What could cause this problem?

Hi Roland,

sounds like your site was CRE at some point, otherwise it should have default rules for service rrds and host rrds telling checkmk to use the cmc compatible format which doesn’t run into this issue of “XMLs present, but not rrd file”.

The fix I know of is:
Error handling with RRD files after conversion to the new format - Checkmk Knowledge Base - Checkmk Knowledge Base which you can automate somewhat using: Cmc.log get's flooded with messages "rrdcached thread - No such file" - #2 by gstolz (needs to run locally on each site, not just the central instance!)
