Hello all,
I would like to add a Sophos XG to our monitoring. Unfortunately, I have not yet managed to set up the SNMP query.
Is there anything special to consider here that I am not aware of.
I get the following error message: "no unmonitored services found, no vanished services found, no new host labels, [snmp] Cannot fetch system description OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.0. Please check your SNMP configuration. Possible reason might be: Wrong credentials, wrong SNMP version, Firewall rules, etc "
I have checked firewall rule and credentials. I have also checked the community name.
We are monitoring a bunch of Sophos XG and i have created some custom check plugins to monitor HA status. Works well.
Does the (SNMP) connection test to the Firewall work? Otherwise check your SNMP Settings and Firewall Rules to allow the Monitoring Server to access snmp.
What SNMP Version did your setup? Does the Settings match in Firewall and Monitoring? Please share Screenshots of both.
When it’s ok you should get something like: sysDescr: Linux localhost 4.14.173 #2 SMP Sun Apr 3 02:39:44 UTC 2022 x86_64 on current SFOS v19
Thank you for your feedback!
I was able to find the error, it was a faulty configuration in the firewall.
I can now query everything via SNMP.
Would it be possible that you can give me the HA plugin?
