i definied mail notification for our databse server. Every day several times i get a notification of the Timesyncd Service Check. The state goes into warning , after ~10min the state switches back to OK.
My problem is to understand why the state is changing and the reason behind it and how to solve it.
Does someone have an idea?
The effect is, that i daily receive 3-4 Mails about a change of the Timesyncd state, which causes to oversee other important notifications.
i’m just guessing here but maybe compare your NTP-Configuration on the OMD-Host and the DB-Server.
Doesn’t really matter if it’s timesyncd, ntpd, ntpdate or whatever the System uses.
I usually get those warnings when a system isn’t configured to use e.g. the Domain-Controller but instead some default *.pool.ntp.org from the OS.
